(Long Island, N.Y.) It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Well, not quite yet—but I did hear some holiday music on 106.7 Litefm.. Once I hear my first “Oh Holy Night”, I start to get that warm, fuzzy holiday feeling. And that means, I’m making a list of all the shopping I need to get done. I’d like to skip the malls this year and hit the net for all my gifts.
The idea of avoiding lines and parking problems is right up my alley. I would rather go “Windows” shopping in my pajamas at midnight. So what’s the best way to shop till you drop online? I never have time or patience to scour the net for deals—and now I don’t have to.
Dealio or No Dealio?
Never heard of Dealio? If you like to shop online and save money, you might want to check it out. Dealio is a free toolbar you can install on your computer to help you never overpay online again by searching the inventories of more than 100,000 online merchants. Here’s something really cool: There’s a feature that will alert you when you to the lowest price when you are one click from overpaying for something online.
My main concern: Will it make your computer do weird things once you install it? Nope. Super “Cyber Monday”
If you’re going to shop online, you should know that the Monday after Thanksgiving is BIGGEST day for online shopping. Much like Black Friday, when shoppers hear the call of the mall, Cyber Monday is when the most hit the net for their holiday gift buying. (The term was coined last year by Shop.org, a division of the National Retail Federation.)
