(Long Island, NY) Recently, the Holbrook Beautification Committee and Legislator Bill Lindsay III hosted the Earth Day Poster Contest at Tamarac Elementary School. Each year students enter beautiful works of art that demonstrate a commitment to keeping America beautiful and protecting the environment. This week all winners were awarded Suffolk County certificates.
This year out of over one-hundred submissions, the Holbrook Beautification Committee and Legislator Lindsay III have chosen to honor nineteen overall winners with a certificate of achievement. The contestants/posters exemplify a true love for bettering our environment and spreading awareness about keeping our planet clean.
The winners of this year’s poster contest are as follows: Kindergarten: 1st place, Sophia Martinez 2nd place, Jack Leone 3rd place Devyani Deora; 1st Grade: 1st place, Tanmay Srivstava 2nd place, Arnav Jain 3rd place Camryn Goodman; 2nd Grade: 1st place, Olivia Guido/Sydney Young 2nd place Sarah Vetter, 3rd place Jacob Rubbio; 3rd Grade: 1st place, Kaitlyn Sumner 2nd place, Rhea Naidu 3rd place, Kaitlin Conway; 4th Grade: 1st place, Deeptika Mandha 2nd place Shaiuvya Sethi 3rd place Megan Martinek; 5th Grade: 1st place, Jillian Martinek 2nd place, Nicole Paradise 3rd place, Renee Summer.
