(Long Island, NY) The Nassau County Police Department has reported the details of a Fire that occurred at 6:14 am this morning in Freeport.
According to Arson Bomb Squad detectives, a 60 year old male owner called the Freeport Police and reported a fire after opening C & C Appliance store located at 11 East Merrick Road and discovered a fire burning in the rear of the store.

The Freeport Fire Department responded with fifty firemen and four pieces of apparatus to extinguish the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshal responded and was on scene. The fire damage was extensive and also caused smoke damage to 9 East Merrick Road.
There were no injuries reported. The fire is determined to be accidental at this time.
