New to Winterfest 2014 – Not only jazz but blues, soul, rock, country, and more
(Riverhead, NY) East End Arts is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for musicians interested in performing at the 7th Annual Live on the Vine Long Island Winterfest concerts at East End vineyards, hotels, theaters and other venues. 7th Annual Live on the Vine Winterfest concerts will take place during the six-week period from February 8 through March 16, 2014. Priority will be given to groups that have a website or online presence and a promotional plan in place actively promote their scheduled performances.
In 2014, Long Island Winterfest will celebrate seven consecutive years of exceptional musical performances in mid-winter over six weekends, this year expanding genres to include not only jazz but also blues, soul, rock, country, and more. From February 8 to March 16, 2014 the East End of Long Island will be alive and in full swing. During 2013, there were over 70 live performances, featuring multiple Grammy-nominated artists, and each year the festival continues to grow.
Dozens of cultural attractions and special offers on hotel and B&B getaway packages, restaurants and winery tours will be available. In 2012, Winterfest was awarded Americans for the Arts and Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) art Destination Marketing Award, an award bestowed annually to leaders from local tourism bureaus and local arts agencies that work together to effectively and innovatively use the arts to market the community as a travel destination. Winterfest is a project of East End Arts, the Long Island Wine Council, Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Suffolk County Department of Economic Development.
