(Long Island, NY) Three Suffolk County men will be arraigned on a grand jury indictment tomorrow (5/28) in Central Islip for stealing appliances from model homes and houses under construction and tires and rims from car dealerships.
The three suspects, Wesley Tyler, 32, of St James, Tyler McDonald, 19, of Farmingville, and Joseph Clarke, 23, of East Patchogue face burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, auto-stripping and other charges, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

State Supreme Court Justice Fernando Camacho (third floor of first district courthouse) will unseal the indictment. Wesley Tyler and Tyler McDonald are free on bail; Joseph Clarke was remanded to the county jail. The thefts of rims and tires date back to January of 2014; the theft of new appliances including microwave ovens, granite countertops, ranges, dishwashers and refrigerators from vacant model homes and houses under construction occurred this year.

“The defendants rented U-Haul trucks to haul the rims and tires and the new appliances they stole during their burglaries,” Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said. “Some of the stolen merchandise was recovered at defendant Tyler’s St. James home at 297 Washington Avenue.”

Justice Camacho will call the court calendar at 9:30 am.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
