(Long Island, NY) Today, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the members of the Common Core Task Force. The Alliance for Quality Education has released the following statement:
“The Common Core Task Force has its work cut out for it. The rebellion against the Common Core is largely driven by the misuse of standardized tests to grade and punish schools and teachers. The task force can’t solve the problems with the Common Core until they address these issues,” said Billy Easton, Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education.
