Five alarm fire that broke out yesterday at 55 Main Street in Port Washington
(NEW YORK) The American Red Cross has been on the scene helping those impacted by a five alarm fire that broke out yesterday at 55 Main Street in Port Washington. Two buildings were affected 55 Main Street and 65 Main Street and eleven units were destroyed. Red Cross workers opened a reception center and then transitioned to a shelter . The shelter provided meals and safe haven for thirty adults and six children. Red Cross workers will remain on scene until families emergency needs are met and they are on the road to recovery.
