(RONKONKOMA, NY) Angela’s House, a local non-profit that assists families caring for children that are medically fragile in the community held its 3rd annual live fundraising event and auction on My Country 96.1 Friday, December 20th, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Celebrities and Athletes alike came together to show their support for Angela’s House. Comedian and Actor Gilbert Gottfried; Former Major League Baseball players and New York Mets, Frank Catalanotto and Ed Hearn; Film Director, Jeff Lieberman; Actor, Burt Young; and more have all joined Angela’s House in their efforts to raise awareness in the community for this very important cause.
There was a live auction that ran on eBay through Friday at 6 p.m. loaded with sports and music memorabilia, hotel stays and pledges to donate money directly to Angela’s House during the holiday season. Together with an on air auction and contributions received from listeners, Angela’s House raised over 10,000 dollars for the children and families they care for, but most importantly, raised invaluable awareness for the cause.
Angela’s House cannot express its gratitude more for the tireless efforts of the staff and volunteers to make events like these successful. Listeners in the community have truly made this a memorable holiday season for the children of Angela’s House.

The Policastro family founded this agency 20 years ago following the tragic crisis they lived with their daughter Angela. This parent-based origin has become the approach and philosophy they apply to each family they assist.
