(NISSEQUOGUE, NY) Angela’s House, a local non-profit celebrated the opening of their third home for medically frail children at the annual Arthur and William J. Pace Memorial Golf Outing. Angela’s House, who assists families with medically fragile and technologically dependent children, honored Long Island University Hall of Famer Ron Lupo at the Nissequogue Golf Club in Nissequogue on August 26th, 2013. The beautiful weather provided for a fantastic day of golfing and eating the famous Pace’s Steak and Lobster dinner.
During the morning a video capturing the construction of Angela’s House III in Stony Brook played to celebrate the grand opening of the home. Sponsorships were graciously offered by LJC Dismantling Corporation, Suffolk Federal Credit Union and The Restaurant Association.
Honoree, Ron Lupo, founder of the title insurance agency Allstate Abstracts in Hauppauge, tragically passed away at age 47 of brain cancer last February. He was a long time supporter of Angela’s House and was well respected and loved in the community. His family and friends were in attendance and were presented with a Guardian Angel Award in his memory.
“The support Angela’s House has received from the Pace family has been invaluable. Jimmy Pace from Pace’s Steak House and the law office of Rinaldo Pace has been generously supporting Angela’s House for the past 10 years. The determination of this family to always help has been critically important to our mission of assisting children that are medically frail.”, said Bob Policastro, Executive Director and founder.
