A Statement from the desk of Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I-Sayville)
(Long Island, NY) “Today I stood with my Assembly Republican Conference colleagues to present a series of bills designed to alleviate the crushing debt burdening thousands of students and middle-class families across New York. For decades the price of a college education has skyrocketed, making the possibility of a college degree increasingly difficult for many. These bills, if enacted, would take the load off many of our recent grads who have found it incredibly difficult to pursue their careers with such crushing debt. Furthermore, without such intense debt, pursuing a higher education would be a more appealing endeavor for many potential students. As these bills make their way through the legislative process I encourage my colleagues to improve the future of our students and vote ‘Yes.’”
