(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Edward Hennessey (D-Medford) was named a member of the New York State Assembly Committee on Higher Education. Currently, he is also a member of the committees on Alcoholism, Consumer Affairs, Energy, Judiciary and Transportation.
“I would like to see our colleges and universities provide even more incentives so that all people and communities, especially those that are in need and underserved, are able to take advantage of a college education,” Assemblyman Hennessey said. “Being named a member of the Higher Education Committee will allow me to make sure we properly invest in our students’ future.”
Assemblyman Hennessey is interested in keeping education affordable, expanding the benefits of SUNY economic developments and providing incentives to people and communities of need.
