(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) was recently awarded the Presidential Citation by the Metropolitan College of New York and the YOUniversity Bound program.
The YOUniversity Bound Program, which is dedicated to continuing the conversation and making higher education a possibility for all of New York’s public school students, invited Lupinacci, the ranking member on the Assembly’s Committee on Higher Education, to share his perspective and give remarks to the discussion forum on Friday morning.

“While presiding over this position, I can assure each member of this forum that my Assembly colleagues and I are committed to increasing the affordability and accessibility of higher education for students throughout the great state of New York,” the Assemblyman said. “I applaud the YOUniversity Bound program, as programs of this nature are truly some of our community’s greatest assets.”
Lupinacci said he is proud to have been honored for his efforts to support New York State’s higher education infrastructure.
“I can assure each and every participant in today’s forum that the work my colleagues and I have accomplished is only the beginning, and I will certainly continue to fight tirelessly to broaden accessibility to higher education. A college degree truly does impact the trajectory of an individual’s life,” Lupinacci said.
