(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) helped pass critical legislation today that would support the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), a non-profit military service organization that helps over 50,000 members and their families in New York State and across the country.
“The VVA deserves an equal opportunity at the benefits that other military service organizations receive,” said Lupinacci, who is a co-sponsor on the bill. “This bill is long over-due. I’m relieved that the Assembly and the Senate feel the same way, I look forward to the governor signing this into law.”

Assembly Bill 6101 allows the VVA to attain the proper funding for Veterans Day and Memorial Day celebrations and designates an office in the State Capitol for storing memorabilia, flags, relics and various records.
“This bill will definitely provide some added support to the VVA, which has been such a strong support group for Vietnam veterans and their families for decades,” concluded Lupinacci.
