(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently kicked off the annual Special Olympic Games with Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan and Sen. Michael Venditto at the SUNY Farmingdale campus. Prior to reciting the Special Olympics Oath, participants carried in the ceremonial torch to officially kick off the games. Special Olympic athletes participating in the events have experience on the state and national level, competing in the New York State and United States Special Olympic Games.

“I am always very impressed by the competitiveness, sportsmanship and passion these athletes put into the events every year,” said Lupinacci. “We had a great turnout this year and I want to thank the many supporters from various businesses, organizations and law enforcement who funded and supported the event, which helped make these games possible.”
