Conference of Italian-American State Legislators’ Scholarship Application due by Friday, May 10
(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) is reminding local high school seniors of the pending deadline to submit a scholarship application to the Conference of Italian-American State Legislators. The conference offers four scholarships, each in the amount of $1,500 to support students who excel both in the classroom and in athletic competition.
“One of my favorite parts of my job is helping to better the education system for our local students,” said Lupinacci. “As a proud Italian-American legislator, educator and former school board member, this additional chance to better the education of a fellow New Yorker is tremendously rewarding. I want to thank my colleagues in the Conference of Italian-American State Legislators for joining me in making such a commitment to furthering students’ access to higher education.”
The Conference of Italian-American State Legislators will be awarding two academic and two athletic scholarships of $1,500. The scholarships are available to high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students. Eligibility is based upon a student’s grade-point average, desire to further their education, involvement in their local community and financial need.
