(Long Island, NY) Earlier this week, Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) met with local music educators to discuss the impact musical education programs have on graduation rates, brain development in children and the development of social and life skills.

“I fully support our local music programs and applaud these educators for the work they do,” said Lupinacci. “Music programs are important outlets for so many children and have proven to be both educationally beneficial and a way for students to express themselves. To ensure schools are able to continue offering music education, I will continue to fight to restore funds that were lost in 2010 to education aid cuts.”

Lupinacci also met Dylan DelGudice of Huntington High School. Dylan was in Albany to perform a guitar solo as part of the New York State School Music Association festivities.
“Dylan is an extremely talented musician,” said Lupinacci. “All the years of hard work have certainly paid off. It was a pleasure to see him perform.”
