(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently welcomed Kedrion Biopharmaceutical Company to the Huntington-Melville area. Kedrion collects and fractionates human blood plasma to create and issue plasma-derived therapies for use in treating severe diseases such as hemophilia and immune system deficiencies.
“Kedrion BioPharma will be such an asset to our community by helping create good jobs and bringing a new industry to Suffolk County. Even more impressive, it has announced that it will be working with the Town of Huntington to create a new children’s playground and park,” said Lupinacci.

Italian consulate Natalia Quintavalle represented the Italian-based, multi-million dollar company at its opening. The company has a marketplace in over 100 countries, including Western New York. At this time, there are 160 employees at Kedrion BioPharma and, with it’s most recent expansion to Melville, is expected to have over 200 by year’s end.
“I’m confident that the Melville area will continue to harbor investments and foster job creation for the future. I’m proud to welcome Kedrion BioPharma and it’s lifesaving medical innovation to Long Island and wish the company success in the years to come,” concluded Lupinacci.
