(Long Island, NY) “I am pleased to announce that several measures to protect New York’s women have officially become law today, including measures to prevent sexual harassment and prohibit discrimination against mothers-to-be in the workplace as well as measures to support victims of domestic violence. Assembly Republicans led the fight for these initiatives, even when Assembly Democrats used them to attack us during last year’s campaign cycle. Our unwavering stance for the progression of women’s rights allowed us to break through Albany’s culture of gridlock and make real progress. Today is a tremendous day in the history of our state and I am proud to have been part of it.”
