(Long Island, NY) Yesterday, Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) celebrated the 5th annual New York State Animal Advocacy Day. The event brought together legislators, their pets, animal advocacy groups and law enforcement officials to discuss ways that we can better protect and care for our four-legged friends.

“As an animal lover and dog owner, Animal Advocacy Day is an event that I proudly participate in and support,” said Ra. “For many, pets become part of our family and it is only right that we take all necessary action to give them the voice that they deserve. This event provides us with an opportunity to promote awareness and the severity of animal abuse, while also urging passage of important legislation that would help to protect animals.”
Assemblyman Ra represents the 19th Assembly District.
