(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Joseph Saladino will host his Annual Marine and Outdoor Recreation Expo on Sunday, September 13, 2015, from 11a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Captree State Park Boat Basin. The event is FREE to the public and people of all ages are encouraged to attend. This year’s expo will feature a live classic rock concert starring Long Island’s renowned rock band,Wonderous Stories and the Joe Saladino Band starring Gary Setzer, brother of Stray Cat guitarist, Brian Setzer. The event will also include fishing, solar energy and environmental displays, as well as much more fun for families, children and water lovers of all ages. This is a free event open to all and an excellent opportunity to learn about marine species of animals, water recreation, and boating safety. Come see displays of fire boats, police and coast guard vessels, kayaks, paddleboards and much more.

To the delight of all, each year Assemblyman Joseph Saladino and Mike the Baker of Merritt Bakery of Farmingdale, create the nation’s largest fish shaped cake. Come and watch this culinary delight being made, guess which fish is being created and enjoy unlimited amounts of free cake!

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Marine and Outdoor Recreation Expo. People are encouraged to have fun, bring their beach chairs or blankets and enjoy the day. Children can come in costume wearing a shark fin or whatever their preference. Food and beverages are available at the concession and the $8.00 state parking fee still applies.
