(Long Island, NY) Major Case Bureau detectives report the arrest of a Roosevelt woman for a Grand Larceny that occurred between December 19, 2013 and January 25, 2016 in Freeport.
According to detectives, while trained and employed as a bookkeeper for Arrow Express, a shipping company located in Freeport, Jenna Micelotta, 35, engaged in various unauthorized transactions, utilizing the businesses accounts, to enrich her own interests. The transactions included cash deposits, bill payments as well as online purchases that totaled in excess of $164,000.

The discovery of the theft was eventually uncovered by the business owner who contacted police. Micelotta was placed under arrest at the business on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
The defendant is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and five (5) counts of Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree. She will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 02/05/2016.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
