(Long Island, NY) The Fourth Squad reports an arrest for Criminal Possession of a Weapon on Sunday, November 08, 2015 at 12:32 A.M. in Lynbrook.
According to detectives, Shane A. Price, 18, of Baldwin was stopped by a Lynbrook patrol officer for speeding westbound on Merrick Road at N. Prospect Avenue in a 2012 Volkswagen. An investigation led to the discovery of marihuana, a Lorcin Model L380 pistol and a loaded magazine for the firearm. Price was placed under arrest at the scene without incident.

The defendant is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and speed in violation of the posted speed limit. He was arraigned on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
