With an Artist Reception for Moe Brooker, a nationally acclaimed artist and commissioned artist for the Wyandanch Parking Garage
(Long Island, NY) County Executive Steve Bellone, the Town of Babylon and the Albanese Organization will celebrate yet another milestone in the Wyandanch Rising Project. The construction of the MTA/LIRR Wyandanch parking garage complements the Wyandanch Village development and serves as a model for collaboration needed to create Transit Oriented Developments.
The reception will feature the Butchers Blind Band, the Mount Avenue Band (comprised of recent alumni from Wyandanch High School), and presentation to Moe Brooker and Jeff Speck (designer of schematic design for a new Wyandanch garage stair tower) from County Executive Steve Bellone.
The National Development Institute, one of the most comprehensive providers of financing, development expertise, technical assistance and training for community revitalization efforts throughout the U.S., is presenting to Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone the Robert W. Davenport Community Development Leadership Award recognizing him for his incredible work and single-minded focus on making the Wyandanch Rising project on Long Island a reality.
