(Long Island, NY) Major Case Bureau detectives report the arrest of a Bronx man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 3:30 pm in East Rockaway.
According to detectives, Vicente Lazo, 25, entered the Bank of America, 40 Main Street and presented a check in the amount of $4600.00 in the name of a Real Estate Trust Company and requested it be cashed.

The bank, who obtained information that the check was fraudulent, contacted the police while Lazo remained at the scene. Upon police arrival he was placed under arrest without incident.
Lazo is charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 09/18/2015.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
