(Long Island, NY) The Major Case Bureau reports an arrest for Forgery on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. in Westbury.
According to Crimes Against Property detectives, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 Devon D. Jackson, 22, of Brooklyn, entered J.C. Penney located at 630 Old Country Road. He purchased a Dyson Vacuum for $434.49 using five counterfeit $100 bills.

The following day he returned the vacuum for a cash refund. On Tuesday, July 21, 2015 the defendant turned himself in to detectives in Westbury.
Jackson is charged with Forgery 1st degree and five counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
