(Long Island, NY) The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 8:15 pm.
According to Crimes Against Property Bureau detectives, Third Precinct Police Officers were alerted that the defendant Michael Clennon, 32, was inside Tourneau Watches located at 630 Old Country Road and purchased merchandise using a fraudulent credit card.

Upon police arrival the defendant fled the scene on foot and Third Precinct Police Officers were able to place Clennon into police custody after a brief chase on foot that ended with a struggle. The officers suffered minor lacerations and were treated at the scene.
The defendant refused all medical attention. Upon investigation the defendant was found to be in possession of additional fraudulent credit cards.
Michael Clennon is charged with two counts Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, 5 counts of Possession of Forged Instruments 2nd Degree, 2 counts of Identity Theft 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead, Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
