Reaction from Billy Easton, Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education
(Long Island, NY) The following statement was released today by the Alliance for Quality Education:
“Commissioner King did the right thing by embracing the call for a ban on pre-K to second grade standardized testing. Earlier this year, the New York State Assembly passed a bill to do the same. We need the Governor and the Senate to get on board and enact a ban to protect our youngest children from damaging standardized testing,” said Billy Easton, Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education.
