(Long Island, NY) Congressman Gregory Meeks (NY-5) is endorsing Dave Calone in his campaign for New York’s 1st Congressional District.

He has shown true leadership in business by helping fund and start companies that have created jobs all over the country and right here in New York. And he has displayed a compassion that is missing from his district’s current representation in the work he’s done creating a non-profit to help veterans start their own businesses. Washington needs his fresh way of thinking and New York needs his leadership.”

The 1st Congressional District is comprised of the towns of Brookhaven, Smithtown, Shelter Island, Southampton, East Hampton, Riverhead and Southold. Dave is being supported by Congressman Gregory Meeks, Assemblyman Steve Englebright, Legislator Sarah Anker from Mt. Sinai, Legislator Rob Calarco from Patchogue, Legislator Al Krupski from Cutchogue, the New York State Iron Workers District Council and the Brookhaven Town Democratic Committee Executive Board. Brookhaven makes up 60% of the district’s electorate.
