(Dix Hills, N.Y.) Councilwoman Susan A. Berland joined 17 young city-dwellers and their Huntington host parents at the Dix Hills Ice Rink for some ice-cold summer fun. Each of the children is visiting Huntington through the Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency that provides thousands of New York City children with unforgettable summer experiences.
“I commend each of our host families from Huntington for participating in this program and inviting these great kids into their homes for a summer vacation,” commented Councilwoman Berland. “The Fresh Air Fund is a great organization and I am glad that we can partner with them to provide the children the opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasures of life away from the city.”
