(Huntington, NY) Councilwoman Susan A. Berland dove into reading at Countrywood Primary Center with Mrs. Trebour’s second grade class Thursday morning as a participant in the school’s Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) 2014 “Reading is a Scream” event. The Councilwoman shared several of her favorite childhood books with the students.
“Reading to the children at Countrywood during their Parent as Reading Partners Community Reader event is always a pleasure,” commented Councilwoman Berland. “The benefits of reading with a child on a daily basis at such an early age are invaluable and few things are as enjoyable. I applaud Countrywood Primary Center for continually participating in the PARP program and I thank them for inviting me to participate.”
