(Huntington, NY) Councilwoman Susan A. Berland joined players and families from the Long Island Rebels, Long Island Jr. Royals, Lady Islanders, and the Dix Hills Figure Skaters as they hosted over 100 students, siblings and families from the Genesis School for Autistic Children and Special Education students from Half Hollow Hills School District for a night of ice skating at the Dix Hills Ice Rink.

“I’m proud to have been a part of such a special event,” commented Councilwoman Berland. “Every year the Buddy Skate is an invaluable opportunity to help those who are physically challenged enjoy ice skating. Turnout this year was tremendous and I want to thank the President of the Long Island Rebel Youth Hockey Association Rich Righi, all the Rebels, Royals and Lady Islanders players, the Figure Skaters and the staff at th(e Dix Hills Ice Rink for making this such a memorable event.”
