(Long Island, NY) Tuesday, June 9, 2015 — Rob Hinerliter, East End native and Broadway producer of On The Town, An American in Paris, and You Can’t Take it With You, had a big surprise in store for the East End Arts Teeny Awards audience on Sunday when he couldn’t make the awards in person due to his three Tony Award nominations. As a past Teeny award nominee, he knew the impact his gesture would make on the nominees when he arranged for a special presentation by Tony Yazbeck and Dame Helen Mirren, who went on to win a Tony on Sunday for Best Actress in a Play. In the auditorium of Center Moriches High School, the crowd went wild as the surprise unfolded at the Teeny Awards Ceremony, which takes place on Tony Awards Sunday every year.
