Executive Overseeing LIPA Transition Will Keynote November 12 Event
(NEW YORK) The New York League of Conservation Voters, one of the state’s largest environmental advocacy organizations, will welcome David M. Daly, President and Chief Operating Officer PSEG Long Island, as the keynote speaker at our 2013 Long Island Cocktail Party.
Dubbed “Celebrating a Brighter Energy Future,” the benefit reception will take place TOMORROW, Tuesday, November 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale.
NYLCV will honor three important leaders in the effort to build a brighter energy future for Long Island: Caithness Energy, LLC, Renewable Energy Long Island and Assembly Member Steve Englebright.
Caithness Energy, LLC is a privately held independent power producer specializing in the development, acquisition, operation and management of clean-energy projects. Renewable Energy Long Island, established in 2003, is a membership-based, nonprofit organization promoting clean, sustainable energy use and generation in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Assembly Member Steve Englebright (D-4th District) chairs the Committee on Governmental Operations and is the author of major legislation to create a robust solar-power industry in New York State.
Proceeds from Long Island Cocktail Party will support NYLCV’s environmental advocacy efforts on Long Island. The event is expect to draw a crowd of corporate leaders, elected officials, key environmentalists and philanthropists.
