(Hempstead, NY) Icy and impassable roads didn’t stop EAC Network Meals on Wheels drivers from delivering food to homebound seniors in Nassau County. “The drivers and volunteers are true heroes; they deliver in all weather conditions because they know that frail, homebound seniors depend on the food,” stated Carol O’Neill, Regional Director of Senior & Nutritional Services at EAC Network. Nassau County seniors 60 and over who are unable to shop and cook because of medical reasons, and who live in Westbury, New Cassel, Carle Place, Valley Stream, and Hempstead can call 516.539.0150 ext. 219 to see if they are eligible for home deliveries.
