Each station can rapid-charge two electric or hybrid/electric vehicles and is connected to the Chargepoint Network for recovery of utility costs.
The college installed the charging stations to promote use of environmentally friendly vehicles by students, faculty and staff at the college. The general public may also use the chargers.
Installation of electric vehicle chargers at Suffolk’s campuses in Selden and Brentwood is scheduled for later this year.
