(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives have arrested a man who robbed a gas station in Commack last night as well as several other businesses during the last two months.
Shaun Mcneice, 29, of East Northport, robbed a Shell gas station, located at 444 Commack Road, and fled the scene on a bicycle at approximately 7:35 p.m. There were no injuries to employees at the gas station. A short time later, detectives located Mcneice on Stan Haven Place and West Haven Drive where he was found in possession of the proceeds from the robbery along with a skull mask and a loaded handgun.

The other robberies occurred at the following locations on the stated dates and times:
- Finnians Pub, located at 1976 Jericho Turnpike, Elwood, on October 5 at approximately 10:45 p.m.
- Speedway, located at 5087 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, on October 4 at approximately 4:45 a.m.
- 7-Eleven, located at 6230 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, on October 2 at approximately 12:40 a.m.
- 7-Eleven, located at 3041 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, on September 30 at approximately 12:15 a.m.
- 7-Eleven, located at 3041 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, on September 24 at approximately 12 a.m.
- 7-Eleven, located at 3041 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, on September 12 at approximately 11 p.m.
Mcneice was charged with seven counts of Robbery 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest. He is being held at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 11.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
