(Long Island, NY) Jennifer Nemschick, RN of Mattituck has been named, 2013 Laura Goodale Award recipient, and will be presented with the prestigious award at a dinner in her honor.

The award is given in the spirit of Laura Goodale, a former ELIH nurse with a 42 year service record that was so extraordinary, it won her recognition as the ‘Florence Nightingale’ of the North Fork.
“Just like Laura Goodale, Jen personifies the true spirit of nursing,” states D. Patricia Pispisa, Vice President Patient Care Services. “Highly regarded by her patients as well as her peers, Jen takes great pride in caring for others with compassion. She is an excellent ambulatory surgical care nurse.”
The dinner hosted by the Southold and Greenport Rotary Clubs will be held at the Soundview Restaurant in Greenport on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Each club will make a contribution to Eastern Long Island Hospital as a tribute to Jennifer for her dedication and commitment to the nursing profession.
Tickets to the event are $35 each and include a full course dinner with salad and dessert.
