“2013 is a record-breaking year thanks to the many volunteers who commit so much time and energy to their community hospital,” states Paul J. Connor III, President/ CEO. “Eastern Long Island Hospital is extremely grateful for the dedication and continuous support of this highly spirited group.”
The ELIH Auxiliary is nearly 300 members strong and contributes approximately 25,000 volunteer hours annually. ELIH is in need of volunteers looking for short term assignments during the winter months. Coverage is needed because of the number of volunteers who head for warmer climates in January, February and March. If you would like to volunteer at your community hospital a few hours a week, call Toni DeMeo, Volunteer Services Coordinator, 631.477.5196.
