Social Media Awards: Entry Deadline Jan. 12, 2016
(Long Island, NY) Social media campaigns may now be entered into the 2016 Fair Media Council Folio Awards. Judged by the public, FMC Folio Awards rank among the highest of honors.
All businesses and nonprofit organizations using social media are eligible to enter. Categories range from best use of Facebook and Instagram to Best Nonprofit and New Media Innovator.

Many new categories have been added to the list this year, and entries must be submitted completely online.

The Fair Media Council’s Folio Awards were created more than 30 years ago, to enable the public the judge the news while providing valuable feedback to newsrooms on what stories were resonating with the Long Island public. About five years ago, the awards were expanded to include social media campaigns, in a nod to the growing importance social media plays on providing important and timely information to society.
The awards luncheon will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury, N.Y.
The Fair Media Council is one of the oldest, most successful media watchdogs in the country. FMC advocates for quality local news & works to create a media savvy society. FMC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization since 1979.
