(Long Island, NY) The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Far Rockaway man for Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) on Monday, February 08, 2016 at 3:30 a.m. in Inwood.
According to Police, Miguel A. Quezada, 28 of was operating a 2005 Toyota Sienna on Burnside Avenue when Fourth Precinct Officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop. During the investigation it was determined that Quezada was operating the vehicle while intoxicated and placed under arrest.

There were four male children, ages 2 weeks, 2 years old, 3 years old, and 8 years old in the vehicle at the time, along with a 26 year old female passenger. The female and children were transported by Fourth Precinct Officers to their home. There were no injuries reported.
Quezada is charged with (4) four counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a child under 15 (Leandra’s Law), (4) four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Intoxicated, and (3) three traffic violations. He will be arraigned on Monday, February 08, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
