Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci and Assemblyman Andrew Raia join local families during the 2013 Multinational Cultural Festival of Long Island.
“Our community is made up of hundreds of families from every background and walk of life imaginable, and that has helped it become an epicenter for diversity,” said Lupinacci. “This year’s festival celebrated the heritage of nations across the globe, including North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Seeing this mix of people and cultures is heartwarming and provides us with the knowledge that we become more connected each day.”
The 2013 Multinational Cultural Festival of Long Island featured uniquely-designed cultural exhibits, live performances of music and dance, children’s workshops in arts and crafts and a dazzling costume parade. The festival was sponsored by the Long Island-based Asian-American Cultural Circle of Unity (AACCU) and Farmingdale State College.
