(Long Island, NY) Time Magazine has chosen Pope Francis as their Person of the Year for his inspiring presence in the world and in the Roman Catholic Church.
Father Mike Vetrano, pastor of the Basilica Parish of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton will lead a talk and discussion on the new Pope and the direction of his inspiring leadership.

The talk will focus on his vision of the Papacy, his method of moral leadership, his vision for how The Church can respond to questions of modern believers and the challenge of poverty and wealth in the world.
In addition to his pastoral duties at one of Long Island’s most vibrant parishes, Father Vetrano, PhD, is Associate Course Director, Medicine in Contemporary Society at Stony Brook University covering Clinical Ethics and Decision Making, Doctor-Patient Communication, Spirituality and Health Care, Religion and Bioethics.
Over the past months, Father Vetrano has led a series of very popular discussions on faith in modern times that has drawn large crowds to the magnificent Basilica in Southampton.
