New Series Debuts Jan. 10, 2014
(Long Island, NY) The Fair Media Council has created another exclusive opportunity to engage media and the public, and proudly presents a new series of workshops, FMC Influencer Series 2014: Savvy and Insight, debuting on Friday, Jan. 10.
“The FMC Influencer Series will feature real-time conversations about breaking news and issues dominating the headlines,” said Jaci Clement, executive director of the Fair Media Council. “It’s a rare opportunity for the public to hear from primary sources and media decision makers in a format that addresses the public’s need to know, and takes it further than what they’ll read or hear in the news.”
The first installment of the series features a panel political strategists and news insiders offering up their predictions for what to expect in news and politics on a local and national level in 2014. To round out the morning, a second session — designed to fast-track an organization’s social media efforts – will offer marketing tips and expertise from one of the area’s leading social media practitioners.
‘Predictions for 2014: Inside Media and Politics,’ features Michael Dawidziak, founder of strategic-planning.com, Bradley Gerstman, partner at Gotham Government Relations, John Leboutillier, host on Fox News Channel’s Campaign Insiders, Frank MacKay, host of The Turning Point, and Ben Mevorach, news and programming director at 1010WINS.
After a brief networking break, ‘Social Media Marketing Made Simple,’ will provide the latest marketing tools and techniques for business use. Craig Yaris, chief social marketer at Social Ribbit, will present.
The event will take place on Jan. 10, 2014, at Briarcliffe College in Bethpage, N.Y. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 12 noon. To purchase tickets, please call Lisa at 516-224-1860, ext. 706 or email lisa@fairmediacouncil.org.
Tickets may also be purchased online at www.fairmediacouncil.org.
