(Long Island, NY) The Third Squad reports the details of arrests for Burglary that occurred on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:14 am in Westbury.
According to detectives, Third Precinct officers on routine patrol observed four (4) male subjects running northbound on Grand Boulevard. Officers tried to stop the individuals, but they disregarded all verbal commands and continued to run.

Officers were able to apprehend defendants Shawn Harvey, 17, of Hempstead, defendant Daniel Green, 18, of Wyandanch and two juveniles ages 14 and 15. An investigation revealed that the above subjects broke the front window to Worthy sneaker store – 821 Prospect Avenue and stole three (3) Hoover boards. The hoover boards were recovered in a rear yard on Grand Boulevard.
Defendants Harvey and Green are being charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Friday, January 15, 2016 at First District Court, Hempstead. The juveniles were custodialized and will appear in Nassau County Family Court, Westbury at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
