(Long Island, NY) Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in Freeport on Tuesday, 12/29/15 at 3:45 P.M.
According to detectives, Freeport police officers responded to a 911 call for a domestic disturbance at a residence on Laurette Lane. Upon arrival, police officers found Russell Johnson, 55, deceased due to multiple stab wounds (weapon undetermined at this time).

Jordan Johnson, 24, the deceased’s son, was involved in a verbal altercation with his father, which turned physical. Jordan Johnson was placed under arrest at the scene.
Johnson is being charged with Murder 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 12/30/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
