(Long Island, NY) On Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 14:20 hours an unknown female newborn was found abandoned on a conveyer belt at the Town of Hempstead sanitation plant in North Lawrence, NY. The newborn infant was pronounced at 15:10 hours. The Nassau County Police Department’s AMT Children of Hope Foundation has taken legal custody of the newborn, now known as Denise Hope and have made arrangements for her dignified burial.
Services:
Funeral services for Denise Hope will be held on Saturday, November 09, 2013 at 11:00 hours at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1346 Broadway, Hewlett, New York 11557. Burial to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, New York. All off duty members wishing to attend can report directly to the church or utilize the transportation provided.
Assembly:
All motorcycle escorts and members requiring transportation to and from the services should assemble at the American Legion, 3484 Park Avenue, Wantagh, New York (Next to Wantagh Fire Headquarters) on Saturday, November 09, 2013 at 09:30 hours. A continental breakfast will be served.
