(Long Island, NY) It is time to mark your calendars and save the date! The 6th Annual Long Island Family Festival is on its way! This fun-filled family festival will take place on Friday, September 13 from 6-10 p.m. (featuring live music, food and carnival), Saturday, September 14 from 11:00 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday, September 15 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. (live music, food, carnival, vendors). The festival takes place along the seaside beach at Babylon’s beautiful Tanner Park in Copiague (Rain Date: Sept 27-29). Admission is free.
There will be an abundance of Family Fun at the LI Family Festival in Tanner Park, Copiague on September 13-15 (rain date: Sept 27-29)
During this exciting weekend, Tanner Park will be transformed into a fun-filled family venue with plenty of exciting entertainment, events and surprises taking place. Weekend highlights include:
- An exhilarating carnival with lots of rides for children of all ages
- Evening Concerts featuring Full House (Fri, 5:30 pm) and Breakdown: Long Island’s Ultimate Tom Petty Tribute Band (Sat, 7 pm)
- The “Ocean View Craft & Gift Show” (Saturday and Sunday)
- Pet Expo in the Park with Pet Pavilion and Dog Performance Arena (Saturday and Sunday)
- Corky’s International Haute Couture Canine Fashion Show (Saturday at 2PM)
- Tanner Park Beach Car Cruise – Long Island’s Hottest Car Show (Sunday, 12-5PM)
- Ye Pyrate Brotherhood – Pirates will be stepping ashore at the Festival throughout the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 11Am to 5PM)
- Magical Show with Magician John Reid (See website for time)
- Inflated Balloon Fashion Show: One-of-a-kind fashion show featuring custom balloon clothing created by Balloon Fashion Designer John Reid and his team (Saturday at 6:00 PM)
And there’s more! The weekend will be filled with an abundance of fun and activities. You will get a ‘mouthful’ of eating competition during the annual LI Festival Pizza Eating Contest which will take place on both Saturday and Sunday at 4PM. If you’re a music lover, the Musical Stage will feature something to satisfy all musical tastes all weekend long. A variety of music will fill the air at the Festival showcasing some of our hottest local talent thanks to entertainment sponsor, The Beach Hut. And, if gaming and technology is your passion, stop by the Gamin’ Ride Mobile Theater. It’s a unique opportunity for children of all ages to experience an exciting, interactive gaming theater which will bring state-of-the-art gaming fun to the LI Family Festival.

Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For those who need a ride to the festival, there will be free shuttle service available from the LIRR Copiague Train Station to Tanner Park and back on Saturday, 9/14 from noon to 10pm and on Sunday, 9/15 from noon to 8pm, courtesy of Skyway Pest Management.
