(West Islip, NY) Good Samaritan Hospital recently hosted a Healthy Sunday program at St. Francis de Sales in Patchogue. Healthy Sundays is a community outreach program sponsored by Catholic Health Services to promote health and wellness through educational information and health screenings for the underserved. Volunteer staff administered flu vaccines and provided cholesterol/glucose screenings to more than 100 participants.
In addition, through the generous donations of Al’s Angels and Fidelis Care health insurance, 50 families received bins of food and $15 Butterball turkey certificates for Thanksgiving. Al’s Angels’ mission is providing moments of joy and comfort to families that are challenged with financial hardship.
