(West Islip, NY) Glenda Miranda, RN, has been appointed Director of Nursing of the Emergency Department for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. She brings more than 20 years experience in emergency care and nursing leadership. Previously, as Director of Patient Care Services at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in NYC she oversaw all inpatient units and the Emergency Department.

In her role as nursing director, her responsibilities will include oversight of the Emergency Department nursing operations, clinical care, and personnel.
Miranda earned her bachelor’s of science in nursing as valedictorian from St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue. She later earned a master’s in nursing from the University of Phoenix and is currently enrolled in an Executive MBA program. She is certified in both emergency nursing and trauma.
She resides in Mastic Beach.
