(West Islip, NY) Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center’s Kathleen Knott was named Woman of the Year by Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court #1403, Babylon. She was recognized for her community advocacy for people with disabilities.

Ms. Knott serves on the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Suffolk where she created and for the past 35 years coordinates a Special Needs Faith Formation Program at the Church of St. Joseph in Babylon. She is also responsible for instituting a Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court leading young teen girls to the discovery of their talents and strengths of self worth through sisterhood and service to their community.
Ms. Knott started with Good Samaritan as a telecommunications operator in 2009 and recently moved into a clerical position in Pre-surgical testing. She resides in West Islip.
